Although the Annual End of the Year Ride was actually held after the New Year, it was still highly successful.  As in previous years, it was loosely organized and generally without hassle to stage.  A total of 50 riders officially registered for the event which began at the Canyon Crest Town Center.  After signing waivers and paying $5 the riders staged up with one of the four groups that were led by at least two TDW ride leaders per group.  Roll'n Rick, and The Fly led the hammer group, Uh-oh, Dr. Big Bike, and Wiley kept the intermediates together.  Phylo and Titanium took the intermediates together, and Guitar Man kept the ultra beginner/leisure group in line.

The weather was perfect for the event.  The light rain that fell on the eve of the ride created ideal traction for the dirt riders and no dust.  The ride route for the first two groups was to climb Pole Line, Terry's Wall, the South Gully single track, Chevron, X-trail, Lil Moab, the North Gully single track, the Olive Grove, Rattle Snake, the Far Side and then around Box Springs Mountain.  The third group did a modified standard Saturday Sycamore Loop and no report has been received from the leisure group yet.

The ride provided a good time for all and earned Team Dirty Work a few dollars for their treasury to meet their annual expenses.
