| Riders: Kevin, Joe, Carlos, Timberr, DTM, TTW, Blueman, Charlie, Randy I (Tater Tot), Randy II, Wreck, Oz I hope I'm not forgetting anyone, we had a big group. We rode Sycamore via Farside to the Overlook. Lots of riders out, we ran into a HS XC racing team not sure which HS it was. We then went down Flood Control, with Tater Tot and Randy II going up that big rock at the beginning (one day I'll man up and try that) We continued down Roadrunner, with Tatertot, Randy II, Charlie, Wreck, me, and a few others rolling down the big roller at the bottom. We continued to the Pepper Trees and then rode McTwist down towards the gravel road then back up to the Nettles. We were all bombing down the Nettles in a tight pack when I saw someone go down in front of me. It was Tater Tot who found a rut and he ended up in the bushes. He missed the nettles. Unfortunately, he tweeked his knee and was slow getting back up. He didn't notice any broken bones, so he decided to continue the ride. From there we went to North Arroyo. At the turn-around point behind the warehouse we ran into the Dirty Dicks.....After some chit-chat, we went to the top of Moab and continued on X trail towards Dookies. I carried a little too much speed on the jump and when I was in the air the rear of my bike leaned left. When I landed, I smacked my bottom on my saddle but I didn't crash. We all then climbed back up and down on the various single-tracks to the Sewage Treatment plant. We continued on the perimeter trail finally reaching the bottom of Terry's Wall and then reached the top of Power Pole. There was some talk of going down 3Bridges to Bench but it was getting dark so we all bombed down PowerPole all the way down to the dead-end street. After I rolled down the very steep loose drop at the end, I stopped and looked back and everyone got down safely. When we got to the lot, we ran into Tom of the Dirty Dics....he had bloodied knees and elbows and told us he and another guy went down while bombing down Power Pole. Apparently the other guy suffered a broken finger....yikes....hope you guys heal up! |
